Free Public Computing & wireless Internet is available in Ngatea, Paeroa and Waihi libraries. A number of online electronic services are available as listed below.
Kete Hauraki-Coromandel - the local database of arts, culture and history (coming soon)
National Library of NZ - to view online resources, collections and services.
Fundview - to seek funding for local projects
Breakout - to seek funding for further education
Ancestry.com - The search of choice for Genealogists (available only in the libraries)
Press Display Now, you can get your favourite newspaper anywhere in the world on the date of publication. 1500 internationally-recognized newspapers from 90 countries in 45 different languages available onscreen in their original layout.
Cemeteries database - You can search the Hauraki District Council Cemeteries Database of burial records to see where your friends and family are buried.
Epic Resources - Hauraki District Libraries has joined with over 180 New Zealand Libraries to be a part of EPIC (Electronic Purchasing in Collaboration). EPIC gives you access to thousands of high quality electronic publications, including NZ and international full-text journals, newspapers, magazines, photographs and graphics.
You will be required to enter a password which is your library membership number located on your Hauraki District Libraries Membership Card. (The number can be found under the barcode on your card.)
