Hauraki District Libraries operate three branches located in Ngatea, Paeroa & Waihi. Between them, the libraries have a collection of approximately 50,000 items which are replenished at a rate of approximately 6,000 per year to ensure our collections remain current.
As we are small, we don't hold identical items in each library. However, we can easily bring items to your branch where they are usually held in another. Most items are free to borrow, but we do have some rental collections.
Our libraries provide free access to computers and the internet through the Aotearoa people's Network Kaharoa (APNK). You can even bring your own laptop and use our free wireless hotspots!
The libraries subscribe to a number of Online Databases, including Fundview, Breakout, EPIC & Press Display which are available both in the library and via our website link to page. Ancestry.com is available in the library only.
