Housebound Service
Unable to visit our libraries?
The housebound service is a free delivery service available for users who are unable to visit our libraries, either on a permanent or temporary basis, because of illness or infirmity and who have no other person readily available to come to the library to select their materials.
Volunteer drivers
Library staff select items for the housebound borrowers according to the preferences noted on your housebound registration form. Customers are phoned when there is an upcoming delivery scheduled. Volunteer drivers deliver and collect the books at the agreed times.
Normal library membership conditions apply to the loan of items to housebound customers. Any payments will be discussed with your volunteer driver. You will not be charged for overdue items but will be charged the cost of any lost items.
If you are interested in the housebound service please fill in the online form below. A family member or friend can also enquire on your behalf.
